There is a contagion zone around those dates. Arriving the day before or the day after keeps prices high with the city half shut, so a flexible trip should move several days clear, not one.
The rest of the calendar shifts far less than people fear. Eating and moving around cost much the same in August as in February; the bed is the only line that swings with the season.
Then the format, according to the number of nights
A cheap format for two nights is not a cheap format for seven, and that is where most of the money is lost.

Distance, which is paid in journeys rather than euros
Three districts lower the price without stranding you. Huelin has a wide beach and a metro stop, about 35 minutes on foot from the centre. El Perchel sits beside María Zambrano station, which removes one urban journey from every day trip. Leaving the city, and when it makes sense
