There is no train to Selwo Aventura. From Malaga, the bus route is a change at Marbella bus station onto Avanza’s L-79 towards Estepona, which stops at the park gate in both directions and costs 2.39 euros to Estepona, or 40 % less with the Costa del Sol travel card. By car, parking is 5 euros a vehicle, paid at the barrier.

Selwo Aventura is a safari park beside the A-7 motorway near Estepona, laid out over 4 zones of tropical forest and savannah. The forest half holds the Pórtico de la Naturaleza and the Cañón de las Aves, and the savannah half the Poblado Central and the Reserva de los Lagos, crossed by a hanging bridge over 65 metres long.
Getting there by bus
The L-79 Marbella to Estepona calls at the Selwo Aventura stop in both directions: 32 departures from Marbella between 5.55am and 11.20pm, and 35 from Estepona. Estepona’s town bus E-3 also stops there for 1.20 euros, but only 4 times each way, leaving Estepona at 8am, 11.50am, 6.50pm and 9.20pm, so the L-79 is the one for getting back after closing.

When it opens, and the 5pm cut-off
Selwo Aventura opens daily from 10am to 6pm until 2 November 2026, then Friday to Sunday through November, on 4 to 8 and 11 to 13 December, and daily from 18 December to 6 January. It is closed from 7 January to 11 February, and closes at 5pm on 24 and 31 December and 5 January.
The upper area, with the Reserva de los Lagos viewpoints and the Poblado Central, shuts an hour earlier than the rest of the park. Animal talks are at 11am and the bird show at 12.30pm, and set meals are served at the Korongo restaurant from 12.30pm to 4.30pm, the same window as a Spanish lunch, explained in Malaga meal times.
Tickets, online or at the gate
Prices are dynamic and always published as “from”. Online saves 10 euros on the general ticket, 19.90 against 29.90, and 9 on the reduced one, which covers children from 3 or 1 metre tall to 7, over-65s, large families and visitors with a disability of 33 % or more, whose companion goes free.

The SelwoPack adds Selwo Marina and the Benalmádena cable car at one price for every age. The Safari Serengueti, a guided truck ride past rhinos, hippos and zebras, costs 16 euros extra; arrive at least an hour and a half early and book online, the only way to guarantee a seat.
Extras and overnight stays
The Experiencia VIP runs mainly at weekends for 4 hours, from 10am to 2pm, for groups of 2 to 7 with lunch, and does not include park entry. The Ziwa zipline, 116 metres, takes riders of 40 to 90 kilos, and archery is temporarily closed. The Selwo Lodge starts at 102 euros for a double room, with park entry, breakfast, parking and the safari included.
Rules for the day
No pets except assistance animals, no glass or cans, and no bikes or scooters. Food is eaten in designated areas, with the terraces reserved for customers who bought food inside. You can leave and come back in by telling staff at the gate first, and the route has steep slopes for unpowered wheelchairs. Other family plans are in Malaga with kids.
Selwo Marina, in Benalmádena, is the one with a train station, Arroyo de la Miel on the C1, and costs from 15.90 euros online; its main pool is temporarily without shows.
